Eighth Grade Literature
Instructor: Mr. Maas
In Eighth Grade Literature, we'll continue to learn and grow by reading poetry, plays, short stories and novels.  The literature class ties in closely with history.  We’ll be reading several novels this year, including a few ("My Brother Sam Is Dead", "The House of Dies Drear") that correlate directly with the period of history we’re studying.  Other novels will include "The Outsiders", always a favorite.  We'll read some plays as well, including "The Diary of Anne Frank."  Our literature text is rich with wonderful short stories and poetry, certain to challenge and enrich the 8th grade experience.
